Marcelina spent a month at the Trust’s house in Highgate in June 2025.

I am deeply grateful for the month I got to spend in London, both as it allowed me to pursue my research with recalibrated focus and as it provided a pleasant change of my everyday scenery. During the month, I got to work with the ample resources available at the UCL Library as well as the British Library, with my primary focus being the works of Emmanuel Levinas and the relevant literature on the applicability of his philosophy for various projects that seek to develop a framework of posthumanist ethics. I appreciate the opportunity that I was given by the Trust to continue my research with the desired level of thoroughness and concentration as well as the support and kindness of Howard Davies throughout the entirety of my stay.
