From Francisco Ribeiro’s Instagram account (original post here):
“A sublime afternoon at the @rarctrust singing a couple of Mahler’s Rückert Lieder together with my friend @fscouto_ , in front of what can be called a “tough audience” (Brass players). Many thanks to @joseteixeira_basstrombone_ for the invitation.”

From Leonor Sousa Luz’s Instagram account (original post here):
“Last night’s informal concert at @rarctrust was a beautiful gathering of friends and music from different worlds. From saxophone to piano, from Renaissance sounds to Mahler songs, the programme became a shared journey across styles and eras.
Very happy to perform songs by John Dowland with @felixlutenist and to share this moment in such wonderful company. Many thanks to @joseteixeira_basstrombone_ for the invitation!”

The Royal Sackbut Collective, of whom Jose Teixeira is a member, played the following pieces in preparation for a performance at the Brighton Early Music Festival the following weekend:
HENRY VIII – En Vray Amoure
MONTEVERDI – Lamento della Ninfa
GABRIELI – Exaudi Deus
MONTEVERDI – Ecco mormorar l’onde
VAUGHAN WILLIAMS – Bushes and Briars

Jose Teixeira leads the applause for the Chantefable duo at the end of the performance
The Collective were joined for several pieces by singer Mariana Rodrigues. And during the second half of the evening Mariana performed a medley of poems and songs along with Collective member Andrew Cowie at the piano as the Chantefable duo.

Continuing Dr Anderson’s practice of noting the names of the players and pieces played (in the Trust’s visitors’ book for now!)
The Royal Sackbut Collective have subsequently been awarded a grant from the Trust’s Hawkins Special Fund to assist with the costs of recording their first album.
