GDPR Statement

The Robert Anderson Research Charitable Trust is a registered charity (no. 800617). Its activities are defined as follows:

“THE CHARITY OFFERS POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS AND VISITING ACADEMIC STAFF ACCOMMODATION AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR SHORT PERIODS OF INTENSIVE RESEARCH IN LONDON.”

Its principal representatives are based at two London properties used to provide accommodation to its beneficiaries as follows:

The Trust requires all applicants to supply personal information through an application form for the purposes of selecting those to whom support will be provided each year. The information is shared between the representatives listed above but not to any further individuals or organizations. The names of the successful applicants, details of their research projects and testimonies following their visits are made publicly available on the Trust’s website only following consent from each visitor concerned. The data is retained by the Trust for up to 12 months following the closing date of each round of applications, for the duration of each year’s programme of activities. The application forms and data are deleted thereafter. Applicants may request that their data be removed from the Trust’s records prior to this point. The Trust undertakes no automated decision-making or profiling.

The Trust has a Privacy Policy and regularly reviews and, where necessary, updates its privacy information. Should the Trust plan to use personal data for a new purpose, it updates its privacy policy and information and communicates the changes to individuals before starting any new processing.
