“Thanks to the Robert Anderson Charitable Trust I successfully completed my comparative research in the field of agency law, which was the next step of my work as a participant in a scientific project on the topic “The Dynamics of Bulgarian Law in the Context of European National Legal Systems”.
I would like to express my gratitude to the Trust, because without its support I would not have had the opportunity to familiarize myself with English jurisprudence and English case law as well.
Undoubtedly, comparative study is the most helpful method of analyzing and understanding important legal institutions, which are based on specific national beliefs and traditions.
During my research, which was conducted during the period 1st – 15th August 2018, I explored the subject of civil and commercial agency from different viewpoints: from that of English common law, on the one hand, and continental law, on the other. I am glad to have had access to the Library of the Institute of Advanced Legal Study, which I believe is the richest library of its kind in Europe.
During my stay in London, I also had a chance to be introduced to English history and culture, which greatly enriched my experience and knowledge of people and the world.
Without a doubt, I would definitely recommend The Robert Anderson Trust to every motivated young scholar interested in undertaking research abroad.”
